Bio
My name is Amber Lianne White. I’m a photographer and herbalist residing in Boulder, Colorado.
I had the wonderful privilege of growing up in California until I was 14, where I spent a great deal of time in the mountains and by the ocean. My earliest memories are of the vibrant California poppies, their bright orange petals glowing in the sunlight. This connection with nature has been a constant in my life, and it’s reflected in my photography. Nature, whether as a background or subject, plays a central role in my work, and I love incorporating natural light to enhance the beauty of my portraiture. Nature is woven into everything, and our interaction with it profoundly shapes our experiences.
Photographer
For me, photography is about capturing more than just an image—it’s about conveying the emotion, peace, and stillness that exists within each moment. I aim to tell the most beautiful story through every photo, whether it’s the quiet connection between two people or the natural harmony found in landscapes. My work seeks to reveal the depth of emotion and the beauty of the everyday that often goes unnoticed.
I specialize in portraiture and nature photography, focusing on creating a vibe that reflects the true essence of my subjects. The journey through my lens is one of peace, stillness, and a deep connection to the world around us. Even in the most ordinary moments, there is a story waiting to be told, and I love helping my clients bring that story to life. My photography is not about social media filters or trends, but about capturing authentic emotions and real beauty that stand the test of time.
As an artist, I am committed to continually growing in all aspects of life, including refining and evolving my skills as a photographer. My creative journey is one of lifelong learning, and I embrace each opportunity to expand my craft to better capture the world as I see it.
Herbalist
I grew up immersed in the world of herbalism, thanks to my mother, who was a practicing herbalist. From an early age, I learned the importance of nourishing the body with nutrient-rich food and natural remedies. My mother guided our family’s health through natural means, and I, in turn, have carried that knowledge forward.
In college, I realized how much I had absorbed from my upbringing as I helped friends and roommates navigate their health issues with the help of the herbs and remedies my mother had taught me to use. Since then, I’ve expanded my knowledge, working in the natural health industry since 2008 and studying under many incredible practitioners.
In 2023, I earned my first official herbalist certification in Fundamentals of Medical Herbalism from the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism, followed by my Advanced Medical Herbalism Certificate in 2024. My passion for sustainability, nutrition, and holistic health continues to grow as I deepen my understanding of how to work with plants to promote healing and well-being.
